Harrods Lunch //

Dear Readers,

Over the weekend I spent a lovely Sunday shopping with my Mum as a pre-birthday treat. It is so rare I get a Sunday off work but it was so nice to get myself back in London, as I find I miss the hustle and bustle so quickly.

Choosing our salads.
We decided to stop off at Harrods for some lunch and chose to make our own salads. It cost £6.50 to make, which isn't the cheapest of lunches but worked out cheaper than buying their pre-made salads.

First we had to press on the queue machine to receive a ticket with a number on it. It surprised me how many people were queuing just for salad.

Not being bias but my salad creation tasted IN-CRED-IBLE!

You were allowed to pick:
  • 1 Base
  • 2 Energy Items
  • 3 Vegetables
  • 1 Deli Item
  • 1 Dressing

My Salad Contained:
  • Rocket
  • Potato & Avocado
  • Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber & Sweetcorn
  • Chicken
  • Caesar Dressing

Mum's Salad Contained:
  • Pasta Salad with Anchovies
  • Avocado & Roasted Aubergine
  • Cherry Tomatoes, Sweetcorn & Olives
  • Chicken
  • Balsamic Oil Dressing

Shopping is thirsty work

The only thing I didn't like about the salad bar was the fact that all the meat served there was halal. It would have been nicer to see a non-halal alternative offered there

Also, there wasn't anywhere to sit inside Harrods so we had to leave the building and sit ourselves outside amongst some quite intimidating pigeons. Why they wanted my salad was beyond me really, but these birds will stop at nothing for some food.

So if you happen to be in Harrods and decide on taking a lunch break, then the salad bar is the perfect option for you. What's more, it's a healthy choice, as you are able to tailor it to what you like and also around any dietary requirements you may have.

Stay Sweet,

Alice xx
