5. Upcycle Hand-Me-Downs or Old Furniture

I love finding cheap or second hand furniture because this is where your best pieces transform. I recently did a workshop at With Love and was able to learn a variety of different skills from sanding down properly to experimental painting techniques. I particularly love their range of Annie Sloane paints which elevate old, worn away pieces, offering them a new lease of life. Travel With Me: Exploring Rome //

Dear Readers,

This post might seem entirely random, seeing as I visited Rome back in August last year. But I have finally taken the time to go through all my footage from my trip (there were hundreds of clips) to make a travel vlog for you all.

Rome was truly spectacular and surpassed all my preconceptions. It is one of the few destinations I have travelled to, where I can appreciate and celebrate its hype. It is by no means an overrated holiday destination.

We booked our holiday through Secret Escapes and chose to stay at Hotel d'Inghilterra in the centre of Rome.

Say Yes To Your Glow Up //

Dear Readers,

Now before we delve into the main crux of this post, I first want to point out that this isn't going to be giving you specific ways or tips on how you can glow up. Although I promise you, a post like that is coming soon. Don't panic!

This post is simply taking the first steps towards starting the glow up process and just saying YES.

The Glow Up: 

Definition: To go from the bottom to the top, to the point of disbelief. An incredible transformation.

Glowing up isn't just about changing your appearance or look, it can be about pushing your boundaries, opening yourself up to new ideas and opportunities as well.

So without further ado, repeat after me:

I, __NAME__, solemely swear that I will take full responsibility for saying yes to the glow up. I will remove distractions, negative vibes and feelings of self-doubt and will replace them with goals, actions and motivation to keep going.

How To Style A Hoodie To Look Chic //

Hoodies are a staple garment in all women's wardrobes, whether we choose to wear them out of the house or not. But if you have nightmares of wearing your fave hoodie out in public with a pair of stretched leggings and trainers, think again. I have curated some great styling tips in this post that will guarantee you look chic in your hoodie.

Throw a denim jacket on top:

This is one of the easiest outfit options you can pick because the denim jacket is another essential staple every woman owns. To ensure you look extra cool, tuck the base of your hoodie in so that it does not protrude from the underneath of your denim jacket. 

Tuck it into a mini skirt:

It's so simple, so cosy and still manages to come together as a killer outfit. To up the ante on this look, play with textures and materials of the skirt and it will elevate the entire ensemble. Check out this Missy Empire skirt if you like the look of the inspo photo.

Layer it under a trench coat or dust jacket:

Add layers to your look by wearing your hoodie under your favourite trench coat or dust jacket. It has an effortlessly chic  streetwear vibe whilst also keeping you warm.

I absolutely love this trend and have seen so many girls look incredible wearing hoodies as dresses. My top tip for pulling this look off is to go oversized. When trying on your potential hoodie dress make sure that when you raise your arms up, you are not exposing too much skin. Also, opt for a pair of knee high boots or single strap heels. Both will elongate your legs and balance your frame.

Dear Readers,

I hope you are all having a happy and healthy start to 2018. I am back in a great place again with my diet and exercise routine and that is all down to some great online content and apps.

I could so easily go to the gym, but with the intention of saving a little bit of money and also doing things on my own terms, I prefer to workout at home. So I thought why not share some of my favourite home workouts that you can try out too.

Blogilates:

Cassey Ho is my current OBSESSION. She has everything you need for a good workout. She's energetic, motivating and hits you with killer moves that target your muscles in all the best ways. I love that a lot of her videos are aimed at specific muscle areas so you can workout quickly and intensely.

7 Minute Workout:

I have raved about this app a million times. But this app does exactly what it says on the tin. If you have 7 minutes free in your day, get a workout in.

Stop, Breathe & Think:

It may not be a workout as such, but taking time out of your day to meditate and work on your mind is just as important. I use Stop, Breathe & Think every night before I go to bed and I find it is a great way to switch off. Also if you have an Amazon Echo, you can enable the app on your device and it will play from your speakers.
