DIY : Motivation / Inspiration Board

Are you lacking motivation to focus and revise, or do you find yourself without an ounce of fashion inspiration to hand when deciding on your next purchase?

Well I've found that refreshing my cork board/whiteboard to a mood board has injected some colour to my workspace and has really made me feel creative and motivated each day.

The great thing about this DIY is that it is completely unique and tailored to what you find most encouraging - it can be changed up to suit your mood and really helps to get you feeling productive. It's also ideal if you don't fancy pinning anything to your walls and keeps it all in one location.

If you have goals for your future for example houses you aspire to live in, countries you'd love to visit, your dream job or to one day own a Lady Dior handbag then this board is the perfect place to display all these ideas. Glancing at them occasionally whilst I work is the best way to refocus myself.
My board before I revamped it - covered in random sheets of paper and exam timetables (ew)

Start From Scratch

I chose to use some of my favourite magazines for pages to pull out - like French Vogue

Choose your favourite pictures and rip them out!

Rearrange until you get the perfect collage

Inspirational quotes are one of my favourite things to add to a board - and they've got to be POSITIVE

'Hey, it's OK...'

Of course a couple of pictures of Lush products had to feature

I do hope you try this easy and rather therapeutic DIY. Although I'd try and avoid doing it just for the sake of procrastinating (woops)...do it when you actually have time!

I Hope you enjoyed my post - Thanks again for taking the time to read it.

London Mini Haul

You can't go to London and not spend a little money right?! Here's a mini haul of some of the things I picked up.

Matte Madness:

MAC's Mehr
It's no surprise that I adore and use my MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr to death. It's my go-to colour for an everyday no-nonsense look. I thought it was time to expand my rather minimalistic MAC collection, and under the heavy influence of my friends we all chose our next 'adventurous' shade.  I'm easily convinced when it comes to spending my money on makeup, so I thought I'd grab something new to experiment with.

Unfortunately, I didn't end up going from Kylie Jenner 2010 to Kylie Jenner 2014, but I definitely shook things up a little with MAC's Matte Lipstick in Honeylove. Lip injections might not be my thing, but I sure love my lip liner and neutral lipstick to give me a helping hand. This colour is perfect for creating a natural looking lip, whilst minimising the possibility of appearing washed out. Blonde girls out there you know the deal and I hear you saying Amen to that!

Fresh Mask, Fresh Face:
Hydrate, exfoliate and treat your skin with the Lush Oatifix Face Mask. With its mix of oats, banana and illipe butter I just couldn't resist the urge to try it out. When I use it, I feel like I have just smothered my face in porridge - it's so yummy!

As this mask helps to soothe and soften, I thought it would be perfect for anyone with dry or combination skin. The bananas act as a great natural moisturiser as they are high in Vitamin A as well as contain a significant amount of Vitamin C and B6 which helps to maintain the elasticity of the skin.

Finally, I couldn't go to London without splurging on some cute underwear from Victoria's Secret PINK. Bright colours, lace and floral detailing...what more could you want?
All you need is PINK

I'll have one in every colour please
I don't know if you can tell, but I'm kinda into lace...

I hope you enjoyed this little post. If you want to keep up with me throughout the week I now have an Instagram dedicated to this blog so please do check it out: @bandteesleatherandlace
