Supporting Other Bloggers - Meeting Becca Rose //

Dear Readers,

Today's post is a bit of a spontaneous one, but it is something I have been reflecting on this evening.

In a time where bloggers and YouTuber's are creating content in such a saturated market, it has become increasingly more competitive and sometimes hostile. No longer are these social media platforms restricted to just the professionals. Anyone has the power to produce engaging content that serves their audience.

I was lucky enough to meet Becca Rose, a blogger who I have admired and watched for many years.

I was on my lunch break during my internship with Heat magazine and I saw her sat down on a bench in Covent Garden. I initially walked past her and thought she was probably too busy to speak to me. But being the kind of girl who regrets letting such an opportunity go, I walked back to the bench and told her who I was and why I had to say hello.

After we had talked about the blogging industry and which Primark we thought was our favourite (Tottenham Court Road of course), Becca asked me if I wanted to feature in her Vlogmas. I was so thankful that she offered and that she put my details in her vlog for her viewers to see. It was perhaps a small gesture to her, but such a big gesture to me.

I have waited eagerly to see her vlog appear and when it went live on her channel this evening, I was so surprised by the end of her video.

Someone who I idolise myself in the blogger-sphere was also feeling the pressure of the YouTube scene and the consequences of the new algorithm structure.

As someone who is relatively new to the blogging scene, it meant so much to me that she took the time to talk to me about the nature of blogging as well as how much she appreciated having fans come and speak to her about her work.

The last piece of Becca's Vlogmas Day Four (9:41-13:31) moved me so much that I wanted to share it with you all.

I highly recommend you follow her channel and social media, as she is such a genuine, bubbly and all round beautiful person.
I guess the meaning behind this post is that we should all support each other, no matter how many hits, likes and subscribers we get. We are all inspiring people in this field, trying to make our own mark. So if you are someone who wants to write or vlog, then do it. I tried it on a whim and I have loved every opportunity it has brought me since. Likewise, if any of you readers out there want to start a blog and don't know where to start, then do not hesitate to contact me
