The William Bray - Review

I was slightly skeptical upon arrival at The William Bray in Shere. I had eaten at the restaurant before and had previously enjoyed the experience. Since that evening, the Bray has changed hands and so my attention drew to whether or not the service and overall dining experience would differ in any way.

However, as soon as I walked through the doors, my apprehensions soon disappeared. Stripped back to minimalist warm mahogany furniture, the tables lay randomly within the dining area of the restaurant where endearing photographic images graced the walls.

Quickly our drinks order was taken and bread was put on the table - something very few restaurants still do free of charge.

The service was impeccable and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. As it was my Dad's birthday he was given a complementary desert where the head chef came out and shook his hand.

Overall the experience had the perfect balance of ambience and hubbub of kitchen staff and talkative voices from the low-lit tables.
